Fine
cuisine and slow foods
– Tsene restaurant, fine food and good company
Birds, butterflies and
twitchers
– Special provision is made for members of the birding fraternity
to enjoy our selection of forest, lake and marine birds with hides and
information about our resident bird populace. Our
web site birding list
is now available and growing. We are furthermore blessed with a
beautiful variety of butterflies which is so worth experiencing.
Of seafarers and boats
- surrounding lakes including Lagoa Poelela, a 60km+ expanse of fresh
water which is ideal for a variety of sailing activities, canoes and
kayaks, etc. The Poelela Sailing Academy is in the planning stage and
together with neighboring lodges on the lake we hope to have this in
place soon for the benefit of novice and experienced sailors. Angling
opportunities aplenty – rock and surf and lakes.
Of portraits and landscapes
– Tsene gallery of fine art and photography. Tsene Lagoa is also the
home of artist John Mulder and his photographer wife Yvette. We hope to
host many art and photography workshops and get togethers for novice
and masters alike.
Scribes and scholars and
meditation on deeper matters
– a place of meditation and spiritual rejuvenation. Our library will be
well stocked with reading matter for the young and the old, the
wise and the not so wise . . .
Scuba diving and snorkeling
- Tsene Dive Tours Mozambique. Zavora bay bay is a new and fresh diving destination with commercial
recreational diving and training having only commenced in December
2008. Zavora Bay has a large diversity of fish species including Manta
Rays and Whale Sharks as well as an abundance of marine life on the
artificial reefs formed by the wreck of the Klipfontein, a passenger
liner that sank off the coast of Zavora in 1953.
Forests unspoilt and
plants aplenty
– hiking trails in pristine dune forested environment. We are ‘green’
and proud of it !!
And more
– . . . . so much more !!
