Tsene Lagoa Eco Lodge is a recently established guest lodge at Macanza beach in the Bay of Zavora, Inharrime district about 400km to the North of the Mozambican capital Maputo. Currently the lodge comprises a small cottage hotel and dive centre.
The hotel has a restaurant, two spacious luxury rooms with full
bathrooms on-suite as well as a family unit with two on-suite bedrooms,
kitchenette and living area. The dive centre has rustic but comfortable
group camp accommodation specifically geared towards dive groups and
other specialists groups such as birders, art groups, etc.
Construction of secluded stilted bush rooms
for that extra special dune forest experience has started in Tsene
forest. Each room will be located in a secluded area in Tsene forest to
ensure complete privacy in quite and serene surrounds, rustic in design
but with luxury interiors and finishes. The first bush rooms will be
completed and ready for occupation by June 2010.

Tsene Lagoa Eco Lodge is part of the Macanza Marine and Forest Parkland area
which makes up the southern section of Praia de Zavora (Zavora Bay).
This is a less densely populated area with dune forest vegetation
adjacent to Macanza beach. The parkland includes the great fresh water
Lake Lagoa Poelela, Tsene and Nahoutsie forests with prolific bird life and other small game such as monkeys and small buck. Macanza beach is quiet and remote with excellent snorkelling opportunities behind the protective reef at low tide.
